21st Century Swing Arm Plugs

Okay this is one of those fine details *type modification, and it's simple and inexpensive.

The OEM Swing arm plug is just plain, it's a flat piece and it chromed, BORING!!!!

So I did my research and found out the plugs from a Ninja 250 2008~2012 model is an exact fit, and replacement. They have a modern look, but as far as color goes, there just plain black plastic, BORING!!!!!

So with a little bit of paint, transformed mine into aluminum, and they match my color scheme nicely.

Final verdict:
So if your just wanting a more modern look, or replacements for lost, or just banged up ones, here's your chance/excuse to do this modification.

It's simple, easy, and modification for a more modern look. Best part is you can either leave them black, or paint them any color you wish, either contrast, accent, color matched to the bike, the possibilities are as endless as your imagination, have fun.

SIDENOTE: There are two sizes that the Ninja 250 2008~2012 use, when ordering from eBay, or another source, make sure you get the large ones, not small.

Also I *prefer *Krylon, over Rust-oleum, I just used it because I all ready had it.

So I apologize for reviving an old thread, but I just wanted to add that swingarm plugs from a Ninja 300 will work as well, although they're not nearly as snug as the stock pregen ones, and I reckon they'll easily fall out after going for a spirited ride.

However, according to Ron Ayers, the 300 uses the exact same ones from the 08-12 250.

I think I'll see if my son feels like making me a couple interesting ones with his 3-D printer.

Just an FYI, there are two sizes for the new-gen, and both look exactly alike. I know, from experience. Only the swing arm ones fit perfectly.
