New Member From VA

Hi all,

Just getting back into bikes after a 14 year hiatus. Last bike was a 97 CBR1100XX. Got rid of that in 2001 when I moved back to the DC area.

My youngest child is now 16 and been bugging me about motorcycles. On memorial day weekend I borrowed a bike and we rode in Rolling Thunder on the DC mall.

She was hooked, I was hooked again.

Harley Davidson is running free rider training courses for veterans so I've signed myself up for a class this weekend. Daughter's class is in August at the local community college.

Just picked up 2 Ninja 250's in the last 2 days. A 1989 Blue/Black

and a 2001 Red.

They both have been dropped and need some TLC in the carb department, but they do run. Should make some great father daughter time fixing them up.

On a totally unrelated issue. Anyone know why when I log into the site with Firefox there is no "New Thread" button, but if I log in with Chrome it is there?

Finished my riders course and both bikes are up and running. Now the kid has to pass her course so we can get on the road together.

Nice nice. Congrats. I ride through Maryland to go to VA once in awhile. Wouldn't mind meeting up of ya like. Can probably show me some scenery rides around Maryland.
