Someone say aftermarket ignitions don't work for these bikes?

Plug the broken OEM ignition into my '01 it runs just fine. Plug the new aftermarket in and no spark. Someone posted something about the aftermarket ignitions not working on pregens or there's something you have to do to them to get them to work. A resistor? It's the last step and my '01 is officially DONE getting all that work. Top end rebuild was a complete success.

Aftermarket ignitions are often missing a resistor (I believe around 100 ohms) that is needed for it to work with the bike's wiring.
