Brake light not working when I use the back brake?

My friend followed me home the other day and commented on how I never use my brakes. I told him that I use my brakes plenty and I was confused on why he was saying this. Apparently my brake light is not activated when I use the rear brake but it works when I use the front. What the hell?

There is a switch attached by a spring off your rear brake pedal. The switch is located at the top of the footpeg bracket. Just adjust the nut till the brake light comes on about a 1/4 inch into the pedal stroke. that way you aren't riding around with your brake light on if your foot is just resting on your pedal.

The exact same thing happened to me last night.

Another possibility is the spring that's attached to the switch came loose. So if adjusting the switch isn't doing anything for you, just look at the right rearset of your bike from the rear wheel and see if the spring is just hanging loose.

Here's a pic, the spring I'm talking about is the one on the left.

Keeps the front end down... you know how these things like to wheelie by accident.
