I slam into a wall + busa crash

So in previous runs of this corner i dont really do anything differently, but when i start to brake (you can see my fingers move) my bike doesnt slow down as much as it has previously. So in my mind when I was at the turn in point I felt I was still going to fast i decided to go straight and keep it though that wall came up pretty fast. I think i handled the grass pretty well though.

And then this busa lowsided in front of me

This was my 3rd track day and there were soooo many crashes it was kinda ridiculous. I would have been able to go back out but i had air in my brake lines (for sure after the crash, my brakes were working fine up until that point) but the screws for the master cylinder lid got stripped trying to take them off so i called it a day

No real damage to your bike, it seems.

Good save on the grass !!!

any thoughts after seeing it on vid?

Looked like a double apex, you think you could have scrubbed some speed in the middle but kept a decent line and stayed on the track?

The buss looked like they were over pretty far... where they crossed up?

Busa guy missed his turn in point or what should have been the turn in point, tried to save it by leaning the sh*t outta it midcorner. Valiant effort, but was more than what he could keep upright, crossed up or not.

after reviewing the video, i saw that after the apex i think i may have been able to slam it over and possibly stay on but i was just so surprised at how little my brake was working the moment i tipped in i just aborted cause i wasnt use to entering that corner that quickly. and that corner is a triple apex lul

and the busa guy wasnt bad. He told me he was chasing me for a while and couldnt pass me in the corners but when he passed me on the straight i had trouble keeping up with him in some sections.

Don't sweat it brah. Some cats would have told you to just lean the crap outta it and lowsided. But there is no shame in standing it up and taking advantage of the run off. That is why it's there, to help you with little mistakes.

dam yo thats crazy. but such is the risk of a 3 line huge corner. I make myself only do one track day a month, so i wont be there soon. My friend said hes going to pocono in august and that looks like a cool track

@csmith12 we didnt get any pics but i was planning on following him for a session or 2 for some video but that didnt happen cause i wasnt able to ride. there were 2 other 250s in I group with me i was hoping to ride with but also didnt happen

They were both all kinds of torn up, the cbr1000rr especially. It would need a ton of work to get it running again, I don't know how the other guy crashed but the guy w/the cbr1000rr had his shifter fall off right before a corner and there was nothing he could do

@Sirref that sucks, but that is exactly why i was really iffy on letting you borrow mine when i know mine is secured in there. if i had a spare shifter i would have let you have it no problem

don't worry about it, just because I ask doesn't mean you're required to help me out. Luckily I managed to bend it back and keep going anyway. Next time I'll be bringing a bunch of my spare parts in a box

Busa on a track?? First time I've seen someone do that. Nice grass riding. Too bad about the tip at the end.
