Speedometer Thread Size

So i have been looking to buy a analog speedometer and have been doing some research on some of my choices. Anyone know what the speedometer thread size is? So that i can find one that could fit the 250 speedo cable. I am doing this so i can have more space to work with the front fairing cut-down im about to do.

I was thinking about going with this tach once i hear back from one of the members if it worked correctly.
Ebay Tach

For the speedo i was thinking something like this, once i find the thread size.
Ebay speedo
Or This
Royal Enfield Speedo (without the AMP thing)

Ok so is that the same for the 08? And that means its a 10mm thread correct?

The cable-speedmeter part number for the 2007 model is 54001-1123.

The part number for the 2008 is 54001-0014.

I would assume that the thread of that end is the same, since diameter of 8 mm would be too small and 12 would be too big.

Hopefully someone owning a 2008 will confirm this.

Yes, M10 means metric thread of exterior diameter = 10 mm.
The distance between two consecutive crests of the thread is 1.0 mm, and that is known as a fine thread for a M10.

Ok so as long as i find a speedometer thread that is a 10mm then it should fit my speedometer front wheel sensor or whatever it is?

And i really appreciate your help, hopefully someone can confirm for the newgen thread size.

Ok so i found this speedo for 62$ shipped and planning to buy this Tach for 23$ shipped. The speedometer has the 12mm thread for the speedo cable that i need and it has the lights i want too. The tach works fine and recomended by another ninja user on this forum.

My only question and my final one() is that if this is a 2:1 ratio, then how willit affect the speed reading compared to the Newgens speedos? Does anyone know the Newgen speedo ratio? is it 23:9 like the pregen?

And i did alot of googling and research and all i find out was the the pregens are 23:9 and its calibrated by front tire size which is 16" on the pregen. 17 on the newgen, so im not sure if the ratio is the same on the newgen...

caling @Motofool again AND ANYONE ELSE WHO CAN HELP!

Japanese mechanical speedometers are build by the following standard (most have the following label in the back):

2240 revs = 1 mph

Hence, when the cable spins at 2240 rpm, the speedometer reads 60 mph.

The designation 2:1 is mainly for Harleys, which means 2000 rpm = 60 mph

And is this 2240 the same for the 08+ or is that only for the Pregens?

It should be the same for any Japanese bike.

If you input 224 turns and the odometer reads 1/10 mile, then that speedo is good for your Ninja.

So would someting like this work? It has a 2240:60 ratio and a 12mm thread (12mm for Newgen ninjas). This should read the same as my stock cluster correct?

Sorry for so many "confirmation" question posts, i have been scarred by my last speedometer stunt haha.
