Been up since 2am

Coughing and hacking up all kinds of goodies. My wife got a sinus infection one week ago, now I have one. YAY!!!

It stinks, now I have to take vacation time for an illness, not what I wanted to do. Hopefully I only need to take one day.

I really hate sitting idle. I'd rather go and be doing my usual stuff. Oh well, looking on the bright side I can chat with my favorite motorcycle chaps on here! lol

Hopefully I can get back to sleep, right now I'm just trying to clear everything up enough so I can do just that.

Hope you all are having a better day than I am!

Thanks!

Yeah, when I'm sick, I want to go outside, ride the motorcycle, work on stuff, workout, etc. It is so hard for me to sit still to recover.

Normally I don't get sick hardly at all. But when I do, it isn't a common cold. lol

I know how that is...I usually get at least one sinus infection every year with my allergies. They suck big time.

I just got off the sick boat myself. Wanted to go riding the whole bloody time, despite sub-freezing temps outside.

Glad I'm the only one around my apartment at the moment: like Apex, if it's a bug strong enough to get me to take a couple days off, it's not to be trifled with. Last cold I had left me feeling bad for ~24hours, but took my girlfriend almost two weeks to get over (despite my best efforts to feed her chicken soup 24/7)

To all those ninjetters out there, get better!

I haven't been eager to go ride the bike as much as my bicycle. It clears me up, but the doc said REST. So I shall, even though it is driving me up the wall.

Thanks Mitchell.

Are you in school up there in CS or do you live there? I used to race with the car club there years ago doing Auto-X. Lots of fun with my car friends. We had some good stories. lol

Yeah TWS is a HUGE track. I'd take my little 250 out there for a track day, but I'd top out too quickly. Heck, at MSR Houston, I top out on the back straight. lol

I think it is $120 for a track day (it has been a while since I looked it all up).

Last one I hit up was with RideSmart.

There is a local forum that you can join that gives a discount for firstimers out with RS. Free leather rental and discounted admission. Let me know if you want the forum name. Don't need to talk much over there, just join and announce your presence, get the code, then get a discount. lol

Sorry to hear that you are still not feeling well. Try a "hoty tody" it always works for me. Have you gone to the Doc. to make sure it is not Swine flu?
Take care of yourself, get plenty of rest and fluids.

Best remedy I have found for the cold is to get an 8 oz glass of hot water, drop in two Alka-Seltzers, and drink it down fairly fast. Follow it with two shots of Rum or Whisky. Go to bed after you wrap yourself in a very warm blanket. In a fairly short time, you will sweat profusely. The next morning you should feel fine. Used that remedy when I was in the Army---a medic cannot afford down time. Sounds crazy--and makes no rational medical sense, but it works. I have not had a cold that lasted more than 24 hrs. using that remedy for 40 years. I put a little lemon juice in the Alka-Seltzer mix because the Alka-Seltzer by itself tastes horrible--at least to me. Good Luck.

I normally use the AlkaSeltzer remedy, but we didn't have any here.

I got a Zpack from the doc, and I feel loads better today. I actually left the house. lol

I still have the leftovers of my headache from yesterday, and a good cough. Other than that I'm feeling much better.

Get better Jenn!!! I'd bring you something, but it is a rather long ride from Houston to where you are at.

Thanks everyone... Apparently i need to consume more hard liquor. Ok, I'm game!! I'll hit the liquor store on the way home from work... I'll let you guys know how it works tomorrow. I'm a cheap drunk, but I guess a hangover is better than this stupid cold.
