My personal squiddyness 12,500 rpm in 6th.

I was up early this morning and took a ride to my favorite straightaway.

Heres the vid.

Link to original page on YouTube.

Before you say it........I know.
Watched a few other top speed runs by others. Guess my bike is just plain faster than most. I got me a well tuned hot rod.

With a good 20 + mph tail wind, she will hit the rev limiter.
I think its geared perfect. Hits top speed in top gear at the peak HP. (according to my dyno sheet anyway)

Conditions this morning were
Calm wind, 64 degrees. Flat road through corn fields.
Im 140-145 lbs fully geared.
She wont turn a 15/43 combo to 12,500 rpm with the 150/60 rear tire.
I tried. Best I could get was 12,000 rpm

Gearing commander says 108 mph for 12,250 rpm
111 mph for 12,500 rpm
with the 41T and 150/60 tire.

Yep. Koso. bought it on Ebay. ($25-30 if memory serves) Fitting are a direct match to replace our temp sensor for the warning light. The needle bounces a bit but you can tell if you are overheating. Pulled the power from my license plate light with a splice.

There is a thread here somewhere talking about temp gauges. I think I posted the model number for that gauge in that thread. I cant remember what it was.
Backlighting matches the dash. kinda
Ztrack was the guy who pointed me to this gauge.

Had the keyfob camera in my helmet. (pointed at the speedo while I was looking thru the windsheild) It took quite a few trips back and forth from the bike in the garage, to my desktop. Then I got the camera view just right. I was in full tuck looking straight down the road. I didnt even know what speed I had till I got home.
Notice, when I moved closer to the speedo at the end, I came up out of my tuck a bit. The bike lost a little speed. AERO AERO AERO.
