my friend bought a used speed omeeter cluster with different miles

its used and he want to know if u can change the miles manual by taking the cluster apart

Have you tried attaching a drill to the speedometer input? Worked on my 86 a long time ago.

The frame that the odometer assembly sits in is crimped and bent together such that a lot of damage and toolmarks will result from attempting disassembly. Easier to swap the old speedo into the new housing assembly.

Perhaps you could attach the drill to the brake side of the cable?
