So I am getting an annoying scratching sound at low speed coming from my front wheel. I changed the brakes recently but that didn't fix the issue. I am thinking the pistons need to be cleaned or may not be retracting all the way back. Should I replace the seals as well after cleaning and if so what's a good rebuild kit?

Get a sharpie or dry erase marker and draw a perpendicular line on the rotor on both sides. Then push the bike forward a few feet without hitting the brake. If the line gets erased, then its rubbing. I don't think your problem is the brakes unless you can feel them hitting.

Could be your wheel bearings though. Try putting it on the center stand and push down on the rear which will cause the front tire to come off the ground a little bit. Then have someone else spin the tire by hand. You might be able to diagnose it like that. Just be careful you don't knock it off the stand though.

I'll give both of those a try. I don't think it's the wheel bearing because it only has about 8600 miles on it. I gave it a listen with the engine off today just rolling with clutch in and I am pretty sure it's the disc.

Murph's has good kits for pregens: http://www.murphskits.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=180

Have you replaced the brake fluid or bled the brakes recently? Overfilling the reservoir can also have the effect of applying or locking up the brakes.
