I came across this on amazon.

Its actually a FRONT tire, but I was wondering if it would still work on the rear of the Ninja. I know that they typically mark them front and rear, but is there really any difference besides the size? The 70 aspect ratio will probably mean that it has a smaller diameter, but other than that, it looks like it would fit.

The theory behind going to radials is that "in theory" they last longer. I'm not sure about whether they would stick to the road or not. Someone else suggested that the Ninja's low weight could be a problem causing the tire not to achieve proper operating temperature.

Does anybody know anything about these and other radials for the Ninja?

I believe a popular radial tire for the pregens is the Pirelli Diablo Scooter tires.

I have the pirelli scooters now, but the only problem is that they wear out too fast. I was wondering if the radials held up better without loosing traction.

1) our rims are too narrow

2) front tires are designed to resist large braking forces in one direction, not acceleration and braking in two directions

I would go about converting your bike to be able to use gen 2 wheels. A lot more options both radial and bias ply. Gen 2 wheels are cheap. If you need to change the forks also, those are cheap also

Well they're sticky tires so they would naturally wear out faster. Why don't you just try a harder tire?
