Got my bike done painted again. And starting to put it back together. Thought i would show picture on a new gen wheel/tire on the back of frame. tire is a 150/60-17 conti sport attack. had a 10/60-17 for front but it is to pinched on rim so waiting for my 110/70-17. fairing going to be painted kawi green :D 28762

I could've sworn you needed to swap the swingarm to swap the wheels. This is so much more convenient if you don't need to

You have to remove some material from the outside of rear brake bracket (13mm I believe), and move the drag link over the same amount. Basically the new gen wheel uses the same diameter axle, and the sprocket is in the same position relative to the center of the wheel, the brake rotor is just 13mm further to the outside.

Don't quote me on the exact measurements. That is just going off the top of my head. I haven't done it yet, still need to find a decent 08-12 front wheel that isn't an arm and a leg.

The swingarm swap would probably be easier. The front swap requires a custom bracket for the caliper.

I swapped swing arms and front forks when I mounted on the 08 wheels. Much nicer ride.

Nice! Now that you have J-forks, how about a J-fender up front? I gotta see that
