Hey all. Hope all is well. Newb here :). I've been lurking for a while and decided to make an account. I have a 2007 ninja 250. I have a quick question that I think I know the answer too. I'm having a problem finding tires and can't find the answer online. I bought the bike used so i dont know of they are even stock size. My stock sizes are
140/70/17
100/80/17

I should be able to sub them for;
130/70/17
110/70/17.

Correct?

Welcome to our site, Nick !!!

If you have a 2007, the rims should be 16" rather than 17".

The original tires of the 2007 Ninja 250 are Dunlop K630, sizes: 130/80-16 rear; 100/80-16 front.

If yours are 17", then, somebody adapted post-2007 wheels.

Since you have a pregen (1987-2007) your tire sizes should be a
100/90/ 16" front and a 130/90/ 16" rear
you can get away with a 140 rear but 130 is the preferable same with a 110 front instead of a 100.

Here is a comprehensive list of your tire options:

I highly recommend confirming that your wheels are the correct size and have not been swapped for newgen wheels (08-12) which are 17" as this makes a huge difference in your tire choices. As I suspect though they are likely 16" which is the stock size.

I also highly recommend sticking to the stock tire sizes instead of going all over the place, yes you can throw a 140 rear or a 110 front on there but it is not optimal for your bike and your bike is not designed around those tire sizes meaning that you won't be able to get everything out of the tires that you would with the correct sizes.

That's what I figured too. But I pulled the sizes rite off the sidewall. A buddy has the same bike/wheels and rims too haha

I just got 100/90-16 for the front and 130/90-16 for the rear, in the Pirelli sport demons.

leatherup.com has good prices on tyres imo
