i'm going to check the throttle cables as that...
i'm going to check the throttle cables as that was my first guess.
when the engine was warm ( an hour of riding ) it would stay around the 3000 until i let the clutch out a bit and it would fall...

sand it down , use filler primer ,sand it , wet...
sand it down , use filler primer ,sand it , wet sand , use a degreaser buy yourself some duplicolor enamel paint and spraymax 2k cut it clear. i've painted a few bikes like this and just did my 87...

bad mileage and sputter
so my 87' 250R starts nice and rides nice but i'm getting bad gas mileage ( around 30 mpg) and i have a sputter( bog ) around 6000 rpm. My carbs have be taken off and cleaned and cleaned and cleaned...

I just repaired mine. all 4 pieces had cracks ....
I just repaired mine. all 4 pieces had cracks . if it is black plastic ( ABS ) it is an easy fix. you need a couple of hands do do it. someone to hold the pieces together and use a soldier gun. make...

that is clean compared to the rest of the bike...
that is clean compared to the rest of the bike when i got it. it sat for over 2 years. lets just say the carbs were gummed up all right.
so if i can get the nuts to turn should i turn them all...

1987 rear suspension
Hello all, I'm new here in fact new to the whole sport bike craze. so here is my question.
can you adjust the rear shock on a 1986-87 250R? I looked at the shock and it doesn't have the preload 1-5...
