Still Winter
Four days of snow ahead but thinking of Spring. I’ll be 77 when the season starts. May sell off my SV650 as it is a bit heavier than my two ninjettes but maybe keep it and lose one jet. Up until 2017...

Valve shims
Just checked my '15 300 @ 12k miles. Intakes were good 7,8,8,8. Exhausts tight 8,9,9,9. Checked shims with Venier and got rough numbers so I'll barrow Mike for better numbers. Checking with...

Chinese gaskets
As I'm a frugal (cheap?) old Norwegian the $40-$70 cost of a valve cover gasket put me off. Of course Ebay saved the day w a $21 price. It arrived and I discovered some issues. It is flat surfaced...

Hey Jim
Pix worth more than my Noodle! I believe my sanno mounting job caused the failure. The SV's unit is also in iffy place so some repositioning is needed. Both of those are under the seat so safe from...

Mosfet failure!!??
The 250's battery was flat, charged to 12.4v, started but meter went to 17volts! New battery installed but still overcharge. I'd say stator is not issue with all that voltage. I'm thinking weak...

I saw a post somewhere about adapting a 1000 spring to the 600/750 shock body. It also stated the need for an adapter collar to fit. Does anyone ahve info on this. I'll be 75 the 15th and would love...

Did SV first then 250 with nice results. Just got 300 on work stand and am thinking tool tray is great spot to mount it. I'm impressed with these regulators and hope they last. The SV got a used...

Bottom line??
What is the consensus now? Are the standard regs the issue or are the stator windings also? Winding coatings can be of varying quality/lifespan as are the reg components. Will the rev upgrade really...

shock
Ebay vendor said '07 600. Spring is stock gixxer, holes fit 300 bolts. You just need longer link bolts so they clear the wider shock.
