Ok

I tried to install the straight strips and they curve irregularly around the rim. This tool would keep it looking consistent. Maybe the pre-curved tape works in this method.

Rim tape applicator tool

Anyone have one of those rim tape applicator tool that comes as a kit? Just looking for the little tool that rests on the rim.
Maybe you have one and don't need it anymore after applying your tape.

Was it the pre-curved tape? I would imagine that the straight ones would be harder to install.

How did you get the rim tape on so straight around the rim? Looks great without the wavy look of an unsteady hand.

Make sure you use some RTV sealant on the coupling. It seals all the leaks and ensures all the air passes through the muffler. Otherwise you get residual exhaust noise from where the can connects to...

It's all good now. After fiddling with the exhaust and brake line, got it all figured out.

Thanks All.

Spray the tip of a Q-tip with Flat black spray paint. Then dab the Q-tip on the scratches. The tip absorbs just enough paint to cover blemishes and goes where you dab it.

For me, it's a nicer deep tone with baffle. However, with or without the baffles it's a low tone. Sounds like a 300z Twin turbo with a greddy exhaust. deep racing sound.

It'll catch up to you. Just trying to save what I have left.

The baffles make it sound deeper tone. It deflects all the exhaust air into the muffler rather than straight through it.

I can take some pics tomorrow. The rear brake line is routed through those guides on the swingarm and doesn't give much play.

The Jisu is definiately a lower tone. Just make sure if you get a Danmoto, you get the baffle. Otherwise it's way too loud. With the baffles, it's rideable without ear plugs.

You definiately want to use the sealant. It'll make your slip on sound much better since the air flow will be what it was designed to flow. And no popping sound.

On a Normal day it's fine, only head wind which blows over your windscreen if you tuck in. I find that even with high side winds if you tuck in tight, it's not that bad.

As long as it's not dark water drops. That would mean your bike is running too rich and excess carbon fuel is getting into the exhaust.

When you installed your exhaust, did use sealant between the coupling and header pipes and between the can and coupler? You might have a leak and it creates the popping sound.

I'll try that K&N filter. The vibration could be coming from the air flowing through the airbox. I checked all my mounting bolts and checked for anything "loose", but all were fine. I might also try...

I'm still using the OEM foam filter. I cleaned it and re-oil as per the service manual. It does sound good, just seem to have that extra "buzziness" you can feel.
