Rim tape applicator tool
Anyone have one of those rim tape applicator tool that comes as a kit? Just looking for the little tool that rests on the rim.
Maybe you have one and don't need it anymore after applying your tape. |

Rim tape applicator tool

I installed my rim stripes and saw no need for any special tool. Just mix some dish-soap with water (like 3 drops of it) and wet your rims (after they're cleaned) when applying the tape. It allows you to be able to adjust the placement of it. Once it all dries they'll stick like usual.

Ok
I tried to install the straight strips and they curve irregularly around the rim. This tool would keep it looking consistent. Maybe the pre-curved tape works in this method.
