Sure, I have read a few of those myself. Young boy on Jakku hides on shuttle, palp senses him and gives him a choice... Die or life with a purpose. BOOM! Bla bla bla... Imperial ship captain, secretly fleeing a large battle... and then the trail kinda goes cold after some culling of certain players. The book Life Debt, ending leaves some open questions about Rax, injuries in battle of Jakku, ect...
Not sure it's enough to pin him as Snoke going forward, but does build a strong case. Don't mean I have to like it though.
The main problem I see with it being Rax, is the age. If Snoke has seen the rise and fall of the empire, then the age doesn't match with his word.
