just an additional bit of info...Shorai batteries are boxed with various sized foam pads contained within. The instructions note the pads are intended to be used as "spacers" ...cut/trimmed as needed to secure the (now undersized) Shorai battery within the battery boxes originally intended for the larger, heavier OEM battery.
A Shorai safely lives in my 800SS Ducati a few years now...no issues, spaced and installed securely and safely. The weight savings (up high under tank on the Ducati) is quite obvious and desirable.
