A long term solution...consider coating using POR-15.
Effective stuff, affordable, 3 step chemical process.
A lot of effort, but worth it in the end. Tank issues become a distant memory. Used in both my Ducati and VFR (long term keepers)
I'm not familiar with Red-kote...I know some folks swear by that stuff too. I think member Ghostt can offer some input on it.
