Carbs...i did a rack off a "no start" '01 R6 (US model) 3 years ago. It had sat dormant for years.
The carbs, once off, were standard operating procedure...but R & R was very difficult/tight. I'd suggest while in there to not limit the repair or limit focus to needles/seats but to do the whole enchilada. You *don't* want to do this twice!
