Hey Tom, you have a pregen, as you may already know the new gens do not have a stock center stand. Anyway... when changing tires and such, a set of stands make life much easier. They make a few different types but 2 should do the trick;



A front triple tree stand - they make some that go under the fork legs also (pictured)
A swingarm stand - you will need the paddle type to lift the stock swingarm on a pregen (rear spool type pictured)

Ebay and craigslist will be an asset here to find a good deal. If you want the best... buy pitbull.

To do more involved work on a bike, getting it up off the ground and at to at least waist level makes the work more enjoyable and not as hard and the legs and back.
