If you’ve not done as yet confirm valve clearances are ok
It is suggested using .006 intake
and .009 exhaust
Get the bike running, warm and set the pilot screws, when I did the carbs I set at the accepted starting position of 2 1/2 turns from lightly seated.
Any 500 I’ve done here reacts well to carbs and valves, push button instant start
