Welcome to what I call "the chase". I predict you'll be screwin' around quite a bit.

IMHO the quickest, most efficient, best all round path to a fine running, fuel efficient 2 fitty is starting with the known factory baseline...genuinely clear, well setup factory jetted carbs using stock airbox....just as it came from the dealership at brand new/running well behaved. Throw in a valve clearance check, plugs, filter service, blah blah.

Though I fully respect your right to take whatever path you desire.
