THATS what I was referring to ("the whole enchilada") as opposed to focusing on one phase only of cleaning/setup ....cleaning the pilot circuits is an automatic while carbs are out on the bench.
Remove both the pilot screws and pilot jets ..use carb cleaner and compressed
air vigorously between the openings, back and forth, both directions.
Short of a complete strip and ultrasonic treatment, the next best method to clean those hidden, tiny passageways.
