As supplied Keihin 38 jets .38mm= .01496" inch

a .014" string is a good start at an initial poke to clear, but what about that other .00096" ? Further measures are called for to *fully* clear to spec.

Thus, i'm not a fan of using random, unknown size wire.

In the past, I've actually found stuck, broken off remnants within pilots, rare but happens.
Once cleared, I then prefer to "index" (measure) to assure jets have not been "hogged out". Rare, but also present time to time, sure enough requiring replace.

Hey, whatever works for you.
