Help! 94 ninja 250 stalling issue!
I've recently obtained a 1994 Ninja 250 that has set for a number of years, since 2007 I think. First thing I did was change the carburetor and a full tune up. Bite was running excellent. Suddenly, when I first started and take off down the street, unless I'm in it hard, the first time I slow down, it stalls and won't start, almost acting as if it's flooded but there's no smell of gas. I can get it to start with the choke on but as soon as I apply gas, it stalls or if I put the choke off at stalls. Within a few minutes it'll start and run like a scalded dog. What in the hell is causing this? Please help

Ninja 250 stall/flooding issue
I recently acquired a Ninja 250 that had been sitting for about 15 years and the first thing I did was change the carburetors and a full tune up. Bike seem to be running fine and suddenly just after starting, within the first mile or so, the bike bogs down and stalls and will not start. Eventually I can get it to start with choking the engine but as soon as I turn the choke off or apply gas, it stalls again. Eventually it will fire back up and run perfect. Can't figure it out to save my life. Any suggestions

Are the new carburetors OEM? Aftermarket replacements are known to be difficult to get working properly.
@ducatiman here is an expert with carbs, and will probably have some suggestions. He also restores stock carbs to new condition for a reasonable price. You might want to make the location in your profile a little less specific. |

possible hanging float valve issues?
after carb cleaning, did you set up a float height verification? (see pic) valid on OEM Keihin carbs.....are your replacement carbs Keihin?

I didn't do a verification. I'm a decent mechanic as far as cars go but I've never tinkered with bikes too much. And I never really messed with any operators at all. Not as far as rebuilding, only changed a few hours over the years. Once I rebuilt the carbs and I got it running but couldn't get it above about 3,000 rpms, I ordered Replacements off amazon. I can look at my order and see what the brand is.
