AFM Round 3 NV 250P Crash
So I had an interesting weekend last week. I raced with AFM at Thunderhill, was riding pretty decently, then was taken out.
Here's the carnage...

Ouch on the NASCAR pass. He took a line like you weren't even there. How are they closing so fast on you?
Is it bad to apex 7 like that? Someone did the same to me last track day. |

That sucks, I've had similar happen to me. Guy makes a questionable pass on you and you end up in the air then on the ground. Hope all is well after that
The real question here is, why are they running 600s and 250s at the same time?

If everyone plays nice, there isn't a HUGE deal to run 250's and 600's at the same time. The passing rider just made kinda a d*ck move. The leading rider owns the inside line on entry. It was a bad pass, but Ryan seems to be off the apex about a bike width a lot of the time. Maybe the rider noticed this and thought he could squeeze through. Still sucks though, but didn't look like an intentional punt.

Ryan's line looked like it started a few feet off then closed up at apex rather than hugging through apex, so there likely was room for a bike before he closed the door and the rider was committed at that point.
I had similar happen yesterday at shenny, I like to run a few of the corners to the edge of the track on exit to get just a little bit more drive, and a rider on a faster bike decided to go through on the outside at one of these points. Had I not heard the bike and known it was behind and to the outside coming up hot things would have been bad for at least one of us...and that's a track day not a race

I saw his post on BARF. They're letting 450s and 250s out on track at the same time. I assume 450 is a gimped 600.
