now THATS a speedwob. i've had this happen at about 90 from a popped rear tire. its not fun. its the one of most terrifying experiences. good for that guy for keeping his wits and pulling through.

rats, I'm half an hour late
I've experienced wobble at lower speeds ~40mph when the front wheel comes back down after a rough shift into 2nd and it wasn't fun at that speed. My heart rate would go through the roof if that happened to me at that kind of speed. |

"Wobble or shimmy begins when some otherwise minor irregularity accelerates the wheel to one side. The restoring force is applied in phase with the progress of the irregularity, and the wheel turns to the other side where the process is repeated. If there is insufficient damping in the steering the oscillation will increase until system failure."
