Turn Signals are for newbs

Posting this in response to all those videos titled "I almost Died Today" when in fact if the rider had been paying attention their almost but not really close call would have never almost happened

Yeah I mean he kept going like in hopes the van would of seen him. People on bikes need to understand, no matter how unfair it is bikes are inferior on the road in terms of food chain.

Don't come to TN, that crap happens on the daily, doesn't matter if on a bike or in a big v8 full size pickup, these drivers will do that to you and never look!!

Jason is pointing out the flaw is with the rider here. @5 seconds and plenty of stopping distance the rider should see the van changing lanes. But he/she continues anyway creating a "situation".

No you guys are all missing the point the rider is ME in the video and your right since I predicted the van was going to move I could have slowed down before hand. But since I still had plenty of room on ether side I scooted over and just kept going. I could hit the brakes at anytime I wanted or kept moving left if he had not backed off, but since I foresaw the move before it happened its was no big deal saw no need to evade.

The only reason I posted this is because you'll see the exact same thing happen to other riders who didn't know it was coming so it surprises them and they over react. They'll panic swerve and hit the brakes, flip the driver off, and scream profanities. When if they had been paying attention to everyone around them the video would look like this, no excitement.

I was bored waiting for my hwy 9 videos to finish uploading so I went back and found this just to kill time.

Well shame on you for not braking, then proceeding to drive up to van angrily and kick it repeatedly.

HAHAHAHAH. This happens everyday. It is always expected. Funny thing is, I'll just continue similar to you. The other vehicle normally stays in between lanes until I pass and proceed to change lanes immediately after I pass. City riding gets you used to that. I need to mount a gopro facing rearward to show how close cabbies and other drivers get to me. It sometimes feels odd when they are so close, but fack it.

totally agree that many folks do panic in this situation.

If you had a more powerful bike there would be no danger. You could have wheelied past that entire situation and then stoppied in front of the van just to teach him a lesson.

Man it's not that hard, you only have to disassemble the entire from end to put the Mirrors on. Also, isn't that a good way to make him finish faster?

People are pretty good where I live, but when I'm in the boro for class at mtsu, yeah it's terrible. All the drivers are really old senile people or young idiot college kids not paying attention :P

At least in the memories of the public. The only guy I know that's famous for second is Randy Mamola.

Yeah, as it's coming off the ground. He looked like he was holding it pretty high for pretty long though, and you'll notice that he got passed a few times while he was riding the back wheel for so long.

They were showboating for the fans. It was a heat race, the top X bikes go on to the main event, so whether you finish 1st or 4th it doesn't matter.

Ninja 2fiddies must have traction control and anti-wheelie control. The front wheel never lifts off the ground on mine and the rear wheel doesn't brake loose either when I accelerate hard I doubt you can say the same about the R6 you downgraded too

200 lbs of FAT is my wheelie control!
