Wet float height question
Ok I have a question about setting wet float height. Where on the carb should the level be set at. I will post two pictures, the first is measure the wet float height at the center of the float bowl and it’s dead on the money with the base of the carb body. The second picture it the float level at the front of the carb body (closet to the air box on the bike) and it shows low. Now this is with the carbs on the bike and they are at an upward angle. Where should the wet float height be measured front or center of the float bowl? When I set the wet float height I had the carbs off on a level surface. The red lines show the fuel level in the bowl, the fuel in the clear tubes was hard to see in the picture.

"When I set the wet float height I had the carbs off on a level surface."
using level surface, a little below the bowl seam should be correct though you've shown 2 clearly different levels on the bike....why the difference? Explain, did you change levels to achieve? Why?

In both photo’s, I did not change the float height. When the carbs are mounted on the bike there at an upward angle. If you have the clear line placed in the center of the float bowl the level is right at the carb body. Move the clear line to the front of the float bowl it’s reads low. I assume this is because the carb are at an angle on the bike.
