If you could ask ONE question.....
If you could ask a current or former World Champion rider ONE question, what would it be and why ?

In other words, how the mind and body of the greatest motorcycle rider of all time operates during training and competition in such a consistent way for so many years? This guy had an hour to ask my question, ............ but he never did ....... http://www.vintagebike.co.uk/blog/th...ini-interview/ As always, a very interesting question, Misti !!!

any rider at that level I don't care who
Do you still find competing at that level enjoyable? or does it start to take on more of a "this is my job" mentality and become stressful with all the pressure to perform to the point you don't even truly enjoy it anymore?

i would ask:
how do you view the world of motorcycle racing being affected by electric bikes? how long, if ever, do you think it will be before the premier class podium is taken by an electric-based bike?

All top tier moto racers have incredible talent, great motivation and physical ability . I would ask any world champion what he thinks make him more successful than his competitors.

Lol... Seriously though. I would ask, where does your determination come from and how do you apply it to your riding?

I would ask about how he entered the sport, particularly someone who wasn't indoctrinated early by parents like mark marquez but decided to start riding motorcycles on his own as a teenager (or later) The process of how he transformed into being a motorcycle racer from not riding in early childhood would be fascinating to me.

I'd ask Stacey why no smile? (guess i'll have to read his book, never a fanboy but heard it gives good insights) I'd ask Valentino to sign my Rossi helmet I bought in 96 after watching him when he was 16 in 125's against Gary McCoy at the 96 Eastern creek GP. And I'd ask Jack Miller to continue his mission to be GOAT. |

How does one remain modest in light of success? Why? Relating to peeprs is a big deal and without the support of others, none of it is possible.

Kenny Roberts
A met Kenny Roberts at the AIM show in Orlando. I was at the EBR display, and he just came walking right up. I asked him "How did the King Kenny legend come to be?"
He said it was love of the sport, and an "intense" determination to win at all cost. A likeable and outgoing, but obviously focused man, one that when in "kill" mode on a bike, any kind of bike, would be fearsome even today.
