New member from San Jose, CA
Hello everyone! I just joined the forum and wanted to show off my new ninja 250r and a few mods that I have made to the exterior.
OEM seat cowl Pro Grip tank pad 250R decals Yoshimura fender eliminator Puig race windscreen Sportisi headlamp cover (I mainly wanted to show this off as there aren't many pictures of the cover online. It costed me $52 plus tax. This is my favorite mod to the bike so far) Last futzed with by Huytanle; April 15th, 2012 at 08:50 PM. Reason: Adding pictures |

Yo dude! I live in San Jose too! So does @setasai. We both live around camden/almaden expressway area, where you at? We should ride together when my leg is a little less broken. And if you need help with mods, well, my days are currently spent doing absolutely nothing so I would be happy to help.
You wouldn't happen to be the guy on the red 250 that I met on the street would you? I was on my black 650 and we chatted it up at a few lights.

Thanks for responsing! @Jiggles I live near eastridge mall off of capital exp. I would be down to meet after you get better. Do you have any experience with installing an exhaust and jetting? I was also thinking of adding a rear hugger.

Exhaust yes, jetting, a little bit, I stripped the float bowel screws before I could change out the jets on my bike, jetting is hard stuff man, but, anything is better than sitting in a bed all day
Do you already have a kit?

I am planning on ordering the yoshimura trc full system, k&n air filter, and a dynojet stage 2 kit sometimes soon. What are your opinions on full exhaust or slip-ons? There is a huge price difference.

A slip on will change the sound of your bike, a full exhaust will give you a performance increase. I haven't heard a yoshimura in person, I have an Area P full system on my bike. It's a bit louder than stock, has a deep growl, but isn't annoying like a yoshi or 2bros. If you want to come over we can fire up my 250, it still runs, it just doesn't go anywhere lol.
I've been posting this pic a lot lately haha, this is what an Area P will do for you. It gives you a much better powerband that continues to pull hard instead of dropping off like stock. A slip on will have near the same power curve as stock

Is the power increase that noticeable though? What's wrong with your ninja?

And as soon as I put on the new pipe I noticed the difference in power. It was a nice upgrade.

Yup, I'm going for the record! haha
I would be down for a san jose mod meet. I actually just sold my 250 a few days ago, and am now looking at a cbr that I might pick up tonight. Still sticking to this site though for all the good info |

I'll be swinging over to Sean's place to help him with his exhaust and heated grip removal this friday afternoon if anybody wants to join us. I warn you though, it's super south san jose.
