Hello from Marietta Ohio area
Hello everybody, I'm new to Kawasaki and the Ninja 250r in particular. I have ridden motorcycles on and off for over 40 years. I most recently owned a Suzuki C50 until about a month ago when I got the Ninja. Seems like I mostly end up riding my bikes to work or for running errands and the Ninja looked like a fun bike for that.
I'm not into all sorts of high dollar mods although I have installed a tail bag and saddle bags. My only other plans are changing sprockets to lower the rpm's on the highway and handlebar risers to set up a tad bit straighter and get a little weight off of my hands at the handlebars. My hands tend to go numb. Overall I am very pleased with the Ninja and have a blast riding it and it's one of the few bikes made in the proper color, metallic blue |

Thank you all for welcoming me to the forum! I'm expecting delivery of my 15/42 sprockets tomorrow and am looking forward to getting them on and giving them a try. I had my Ninja on the interstate for the first time today. It seems to crank about 8,000 rpm's at 65 mph. I'm hoping the new sprockets will drop that down some for a little better mileage. I'm hoping it doesn't rob me of too much take off power, because at 255 lbs I'm not exactly a small guy!

How did the sprockets work out? |
