engine falters at 3/4 temp. plus no throttle response

my zzr250 05 model won't idle at 3/4 temperature gauge. the rpm slowly goes down until the bike falters.

another problem is the throttle has no response when its in the said temperature so i can't keep the bike running.

the bike is fine when the engine is cold.

things ive done
-new floats
-new valve floats
-cleaning of carbs
-adjusted valve clerance
-set a/f mix to 2.5 turns from close

note: im using airpods and an aftermarket exhaust.
the rest are all stock

When it begins to falter, add some choke and note if the condition gets better or worse. That will tell you if you are getting too much or not enough fuel, and gives you somewhere to start.

When it reaches full operating temp what happens? It should idle smoothly at 1300 when warmed-up.

Have you opened the gas cap when it begins to stall? If there is air rushing in it's telling you the tank isn't venting properly.

You can also try putting the petcock on Reserve to see if there may be a blockage that's restricting flow. Opening the floatbowl drains after it quits would also tell you if there is a problem with fuel flow. The fuel should run out for almost 10 seconds if the bowls are full.

If you went to pods and a system without adjusting jetting for the extra air in and out then that could explain it. Do you know what jets are currently installed? Stock?

soulffs tests are an easy starting point to see what direction you need go.

added some choke, 1/2 and 3/4 no effect. full choke it dies. when it reaches full operating temp like i said the the throttle won't respond and the rpm goes down slowly until the bike falters.

will try opening the gas cap on saturday, and check the fuel system too

There should be some change at that point.

Sounds like there may be a carb cleaning in your future...

Check that the needles are solidly attached to the diaphragms.
When you open the throttle with the engine idling, you should see both needles go up, following the movement of the diaphragms.
