Ride right after the storm
Today there will be a one day break before the rain starts up again. The pavement should be pristine and oil free. Perfect day to ride.

Yup, mid to upper 60's here in DC. I keep planning to winterize, and then end up just riding instead!

I mounted up some new pilot road 3 tires for the massive rain we had last week so I could ride through it no problem. The tires work great ever since I mounted them up I missed every rain storm by like 30 mins WTF, it's an odd way for a rain tire to work but whatever ill take it.

To answer your question, everywhere! What is your skill level? There are quite a few routes through the mountains, but some may be difficult for a beginner. I did that on Saturday, was a total pain to wipe down all the mud and water spots! |

It was a awesome day to ride I ended up running some errands and meeting my wife for lunch. I go back to work tomorrow, so I will be gone for four days. The temps when I get back are supposed to be dropping in the high 30's I just had to take advantage while it lasted! |

Rained most of the day here, but I did squeeze in a ride yesterday before it started up again. Funny how itichy I get to ride after a few days of rain.

Don't try to hard, there was a thread about a guy who tried to avoid going through a puddle and crashed into a curb

Yes that was me. Glad you found the site! Keep doing the u-turns if you feel those need work. Many veteran riders never fully develop that skill. If you feel ready to venture into the twisties without going nuts, try Almaden Expressway south, to McKean, to Uvas Road. At the Watsonville road T, go left and back up Monterey road. Or just turn around and go back up Uvas. Google map it. Looks like this weekend might be riding weather. Ride safe.

I rode through last week's bout of storms and I'm ready for this week's too. You'd see people riding in the rain if you lived in the bay.

Well if things go as planned i'll be living in the LA area in the not too distant future. It'd be nice to ride around with people who are not completely scared of the elements. Dont care if its rainy, foggy, 112+ outside, im always down. Still want to try out some snow lol.

i'm not hardcore enough to ride when there's ice on the roads
rains nothing but snow/ice, i'll pass. today's ride home will be phenomenal, mid 60's, sun (well, it would be sunny, except when i leave work its already dark), dry pavement. hope I don't get stuck behind another slow driver argh (no place to pass). today will be my last normal ride of the season, saturday going to ride home to my parents place to park it for the winter

Riding in LA traffic in the rain is not something I'd wish on a friend but driving in LA traffic is not something I would wish on even my worse of enemies.
