Pics from a coast ride today

Here are some of my favorite pics from this ride I took the Ninjette on today. Here's a link to all pictures from the day.

Thanks for looking!

Tires/gps/heated gear/clock/thermometer/chopped rear fender. What else would it ever need?

edit: and rear seat cowl. I like the look.

Oh nothing I suppose...

I like to throw money at mine and pretend it makes me a better rider, and then I think about people like you and Gary J and I'm like wow, I'm an idiot. At least being an idiot is fun

Alex, what type of heated gear do you have? Can you tell me about it? I know nothing. My concern is getting TOO hot.

I have a jacket liner from these guys:

http://gerbing.com/

They do get very warm, so it's not really usable to just have an on/off switch. You need one of these:

http://gerbing.com/Products/tempControls.php

which has a dial to whatever heat you want. It also cuts down on the power needed by the jacket. I typically have it on full blast for a few minutes to get it warm, then dial it back to stay comfortable. On colder days, when I'm on the highway for long stretches, sometimes it stays closer to full a bit longer (like early this morning). On the 250 and the 10R, I wear that portable heat controller right on my pants pocket. On the BMW, I have a permanent controller installed on one of the dash panels, and the pigtail comes out right at the front of the seat.

I spent years making fun of the wimps I ride with for their wussy heated gear. Until I got it, and realized I could not have been more wrong. It rocks. Basically, you're always comfortable, and never cold.

Thanks for the info. I'll check out that site. I'll need some heated gear eventually but I'm looking for my husband now. He rides 120mi each day round trip on the interstate. He's going to be freezing off his cojones soon enough. Figured it'd be a good anniversary gift.
