Grovetucky moving to the big time

Driving around today running some errands and what do I see? An empty parking lot with some gas pump looking things being installed that say Tesla on them.

I've never even seen a Tesla driving on the road around here, or in any part of Columbus actually. We did get a dealership a while back in one of the fancier parts of town, so they are around, but still seems like a strange location to me.

What's next,.. 500 sq ft studio apartments for $1500 a month?

Actually, there's a bunch of Tesla's around Polaris and Easton in the Columbus area. Bunches of them in the cleveland/suburbs areas also. I've seen like 5 of them in the last week I've been home.

Jealous you guys have a dealership! Watch out for the hipster apartments.

Well there you go,.. I pretty much avoid those parts of town so I guess that's why I never see them. School is in downtown C'bus though, and I've never seen one around there. I see a bunch of those stupid smart cars though because of car2go.

Being able to charge your car for free is pretty cool I guess, but at $75k for their cheapest model, and with no way to fit a dirt bike in the back... I think I'll just stick with my Nissan pickup for now.

Werd. They're awesome from the standpoint of "WE CAN ENGINEER AWESOMENESS" but I don't think they're a feasible choice for me.

I'm in the Polaris area frequently as we have family there and they're not terribly far from school or home. I don't make it to real 'downtown' Columbus often. Big cities aren't really my thing.

One of my friends went to the Tesla dealership,.. as a joke, and asked them how long the cars last for? They told him eight years. He laughed and said that he's had his corolla for 10 years with no problems.

Then again, if you're buying a $75-100k car you probably aren't doing it for the savings.
