It almost looks like there's a knee pad in place, like the Icon puck thing maybe?

Watching the non-crash videos from countries with a more bike friendly approach, I half wonder if those riders - as crazy and insane as they are from a US viewpoint - aren't 100x's more attentive and more skilled in controlling their bike than anyone here would be. When your riding involves that environment, your reaction to sudden events has got to be razer sharp.

Controlled chaos !!!

This is an exceptional fast bike in that environment.
Note that most bikes in the video have small displacement engines, while are heavily loaded.

Note the constantly covered controls.

I think things are little different stateside.

Take a walk through your local walmart. People move their asses the same way that they operate their shopping carts.. If you look like business, and you move with a purpose, people will get out of your way.

Let's also note that the rider depicted in the video did not appear to use his horn once, nor cause any disturbance in the flow of traffic.

Riding a bike through congested traffic is a lot like walking through a busy store. If you make it obvious which direction you intend to move, people will warn eachother and a path will open up.

Here's an experiment. Find a very busy city, put on some headphones, and start jogging toward the largest and thickest crowd of people you can find. I very much believe that you will be surprised by what happens. The crowd will part, and little-old-you will suddenly have a clear passage to jog through.

People recognize when you are moving quickly, and they will do their best to get out of your way and not slow you down.

Of course, there's always "that guy" who steps out into traffic and gets pasted because he doesn't have any situational awareness or seem to have any clue what is going on around him -- but that's why motorcycles are equipped with more sophisticated brakes than automobiles.

Corksil makes nice observations....sounds like you do the Moses thing a lot...parting the ...
Indo drivers seem way cooler than USA drivers...nobody flashed their lights or swereved towards him to "teach the motorcycle a lesson".
Let's all move there....the whole ninjette.org population...we'll have soo much fun, we can overthrow the government, make Alex emperor and all taxes will go to government funded free repair, tire and farkle shops...and gear too.

Looks fun to me. Makes me want to go for a ride right now, but the weather doesn't.

It's pretty clear why bikes over 250cc functionally do not exist there. Even the extra 50cc on a 300 would be almost completely useless in that environment and 250 is more than enough (luxury, even).
