600 mile service?

So I did my oil change and I did all the stuff listed in the manual for the 600 mile inspection. Here is the question... Is there any real reason that I would need to take it to the dealer to do it? just curious

I believe it is required to have a Kawasaki mechanic service them to keep the warranty applicable, but that would be the only reason that I could think of why I would take a new Ninjette down to the shop, otherwise I service her myself and no problems on my end as long as you have the right tools

The short answer is no, especially if you are mechanically inclined and everything checked out okay.

Depends. The one off colonial I want to say would have charged 175. Which is a lot, so maybe it is 130. Call around.

No worries - if I had to make up a number, I'd say close to 50% of new riders / first time owners believe that. But if you read your warranty statement, nowhere does it say you have to have a dealer do it.
