Hello from the Bay!

Hello folks! Thought I'd finally stop lurking and post a short introduction.

I'm the proud owner of a brand new 2010 Ninja 250r SE and it's been a blast to ride. I can officially say that I've caught the riding bug once again.

I rode off and on 10 years ago and started out on a 1995 Ninja ZX6 then about a year later purchased a 1995 CBR F3. But I have to admit, this 250 has been so much more fun than either of those bikes. Since I got her 3 months ago, I don't think there has been a day that has passed that I haven't itched to ride her.

I've never serviced my own bike in the past but with all the helpful folks and awesome DIYs here at ninjette.org, I gained the confidence to perform all my own basic maintenance. Matter of fact, I shimmed my carbs two weekends ago! :

Here's a pic of my bike that the GF snapped. Caught the sun setting if you look closely on the front cowl. Awesome!

Definitely will consider this if I happen to get my bike back from the stealership before then!

I'm having the CDI issues where the RPM varies at the same speed. Although, I don't think I'm just having indicator issues. I've noticed a drop in power when the issue happens as well as less mpg. Otherwise, I would still be happily riding it.

The dealership had my bike since last Thursday and I've yet to hear back from them. But I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. So we'll see.
