Peanut here!

Hello, I'm not new to riding in any way. I decided to race this year and my brother already had a 600cc race bike and I didn't want to race in the same class. My options were either go up to 1000cc or down to 250cc. I decided to go down since the 250's are fun in the corners. That and they are way cheaper.

What organization are you racing with?

What tracks are you going to be racing at?

How many bikes run in each class?

How long have you been racing?

I'd run in the class that would be the most fun with the best possibility of doing well.

I started racing in the 1000 class because of the class size of the smaller bikes. I did well and I'm glad I started where I did.

I'm racing with CVMA. Chuckwalla Valley Motorcycle Association. We will be racing at Chuckwalla Valley Raceway. I don't know how many bikes will be in each class. The season starts in a couple weeks. This will be my first year racing. I normally ride a 600, but the 250's just look so fun on the track.

Unfortunately I won't be in the race, but I plan on being there to watch all of them. Since I live in Indio, which is only an hour from Chuckwalla, I have no excuse to miss them. I hope to put together some kind of race bike so that I can participate someday.

The Ninjette is my wife's. She rides it daily. When she's bored, she hits the bottom end of hwy 74 "on the way home". I get to ride her 250 to check the maintenance that I've done on it, or if I've screwed up and my bike is waiting for parts.

So, I "need" to find a salvage bike or something like that. And of course a trailer would be a good idea too...

74 is cool! I might have a biased opinion, but it's not unusual to meet riders from anywhere in SoCal at Vista Point.
