Akrapovic Slip on
Hi
I just installed an Akrapovic Slip on (ninja250) and there's a little air leak right on the fitting kit (facing the ground). any ideas on how to eliminate this? Does this happen sometimes in aftermarket slip-ons? |

hmmm... by looking at the pics this a fresh install right?
Run it for a bit, get it hot. It just might seal completely on its own. My area p had some small leaks after fresh install, but tightened right up after first couple of short rides.

Are sealants advisable for leaks? read in a couple of threads that they used RTV or permatex. |

Sealants for exhaust leaks. Sorry, don't have any experience with that. I am guessing the pressures would eventually erode & blow the sealant out and it wouldn't look all that good anyway. For leaks that just wouldn't seal with heat and time, I always had them welded.
