Hey Unregistered, is this smoking deal worth it?

http://www.motorcyclegear.com/street...le_jacket.html

179.99 price for a jacket and 175.00 instore gift card..

Minus the fact the jacket isn't water proof and likely won't fit perfectly (due to limited stock), is the price alone worth it?

Think that you're getting the jacket for 50% of msrp... Would you buy a jacket that doesn't fit and isn't waterproof at 50% off?

Won't the 180.00 price of the jacket ( plus ~13 for shipping ) equal about 355.00 (180 + 175) in total value for motorcycle gear?

As if it was "Buy this jacket (179.99) and get this tank bag, these boots, and this pair of gloves FREE".

Is the premise of the jacket being imperfect in both fitment and water resistance too strong that it wouldn't make sense to buy it?

I suppose I'm looking through economic eyes, but should I be more focused on the jacket itself?

Basically if it fits, buy it... If it doesn't, sell it on and you've got that cash and the credit... I guess... So if you sell it for 100$ you have 175 store credit and 100 cash...

Roark, Thanks for asking about the gear deal.
It does not compute well with me.
I'd personally look at and try the gear, if I needed any of it.
Not in favor of saving money by spending money for a basket deal including stuff I don't want and then must spend time and effort getting rid of poorly made objects made in some foreign place.
Could be riding, or maintaining the bike: that is to say having some fun!

Some people make such annoying use of the Unregistered tag.

It seems fine to me, honestly the waterproof is kinda bs anyway, I took my waterproof liner off because it didn't make the jacket breathe right and it was too hot. I usually only ride when it's good weather, yeah sometimes it happens when you don't plan it, but it that would be like once in a blue moon anyway. To be honest, "waterproof" is really not a big selling point for me.
