My Ninjette has heated grips, as well as my EX, personally they are awesome, and come in handy more than you'd think, nice to have on a chilly evening. IMHO the best modifications you can make performance wise is suspension.

Looks like you're off to a good start.
I'd personally recommend ss brake lines and upgraded pads up front, some stompgrip tank trip pads, and a gsxr rear shock. And get rid of that red rim tape. I've considered heated grips but if you're wearing insulated gloves then heated grips become less effective. I think keeping the wind off of your hands is the better solution. P.S. I've got a windscreen for sale in the marketplace, just sayin'.

I used to think the same thing about heated grips for a very long time. I installed my first pair on my EX about 5 years ago, and they completely changed my mind.
Now I won't have another bike without adding them.
