track fairing installation
I am installing some hotbodies track fairings and have a question. Does this part need to be removed? If so how do you get the gauges back on the bike? I am installing hotbodies bodywork. I took this picture from someone elses thread. Mine are still on the bike.

Looks like they are still there in this picture, One of them shows that it has been cut. What have you guys done?

I originally kept mine intact. Ive trimmed a lot off of it and it makes fairing removal and installation quite a bit easier. Long term plan is to get rid of mine and changr to a different tach.

Can't speak to the 250 specifically, but on my 300 I was able to suspend the speedo/tach from the fairing mounts with zip-ties. Saves some weight and makes removing/installing the fairing a lot easier. I'd say I've seen about 50/50 on various bikes. Of course, an aftermarket fairing stay will have a mount for it.

it doesn't need to be removed, but when making bar adjustments many other parts will have to be modified while removing that piece.
