Exactly what I'm looking for. The brembo kits are nice but pricey when you realize what you're getting. The 6 piston nissin calipers are about ~$300 each plus the cost of the 40mm adapter. I also prefer the black over the gold brembo calipers.

Not really for the bike exactly, but picked up a Sena SMH5-FM from Rezvilla so I can listen to tunes (or the radio with this one) and actually control the volume when rolling into town or increasing speed. Since it's BT, no wires getting tangled in my backpack straps or breaking from the wind thrashing them around. Start, stop, skip, volume control, ahh music just got much better for my long rides!
Oh and since BT, it can connect with other Senas, the phone, or the GPS. Which may be nice to pull off into a lot and make a phone call without having to take the helmet off. Dunno, have to try that and see what I feel about it.

Let me know what you think of that. I've been wanting something like that and that's a better price the the units I was looking at.

First impression: damn that's cool!!
Found a long empty road to get up to speed. Eadily switched between mp3 and FM. Was able to move through tracks/stations. Volume was great as even at 70 I didn't have it maxed out. It remembers the volume between modes so switching from FM in town to MP3 on freeway back to FM keeps the volume where you left it last time you were in FM. Since the road was perfectly flat and straight and empty, i tested the voice calling and got a hold of my dad. He couldn't hear any wind noise despite it being loud enough in my helmet I couldn't hear myself. Had him call me a few minutes later and, while I need to figure out how to turn the ringer volume up, I heard the music interruption and answered. I think this was a very good purchase.

I cut the sprocket cover to make room for gp shifting. Then I installed my area p exhaust system. Now I have a bit more go and I can shift to stay in the power band while going left

Painted my muffler can black like the later year models. So much better without all that flashy "chrome" business.

haha, well there's not many moving parts in the FI system. So I decided to go back to carbs so I could test out a little more with the slide holes/needles and whatnot. I've also got some trips coming up next season and the season after that, I'd rather have the peace of mind of knowing that I can work on carbs as I travel, rather than constantly worrying about the aftermarket FI parts. Never got stranded on my long rides this season, but simpler is so much easier.
But then I remembered that I drilled a hole in my air box to mount my pump. Derp. Conveniently, I still had my K&N pod from when I first started with the FI kit, so I slapped that bad boy on there, along with my 108 main jets, and 3 washers on the needles, 2.5 turns on the idle screws. I might've just gotten it perfect on the first try. I did order some 110's from the stealership today just to be sure. yes, I'm a hypocrite for hating on pod filters for so long. However, I do stand corrected in the fact that it seems to run better with the carb than it did the FI. I think the 'smoothness' of the air entering the setup doesn't matter as much with carbs as the sheer volume of the air entering. The thing is still darn noisy though Anyhow, I can get into my thoughts comparing the two systems later if we feel like delving into that. For now, I'm enjoying having something mechanical to tinker with. I like tinkering, it's half the fun |

Installed my Ninja 250/300 specific SW-Motech GPS mount today.
I already had a Nuvi 500 and Ram Mount cradle for it so everything went together perfectly. Next step is to hardwire in the USB port for charging the unit and/or my phone.

Tipped it over in the bed of my truck. Didn't check it out good enough to notice the right riser was loose. Unloaded from said truck a few states away. Found said wobbley riser mid corner. Rode to see mom, brother, sister, to pick up a case, then to my quarters for the night.
Got some icon overpants, have to get them altered tomorrow!!! Weird sizes this things

I rode to work, like I do everyday it is nice out. I am also patiently waiting for my BIXENON light kit to come in and fender eliminator. So far I have installed the 15t sprocket and tank pads. I am totally in love with my ninja 300!
