my name's actually mollika, so molli for short. and yes, it's a play on the word anomaly. i use it for pretty much for all my online accounts and thought it was clever when i came up with it... but i think you're the first to actually catch it! lol.

The YSR80 has never officially been made, it was always a YSR50 with a YZ engine and a few people have gone up to 125cc and I've seen one listed with a Honda 220cc in it. The big problem is the lighting, these engines do not have a lighting coil, and I haven't found info on putting the stock coil into these other engines. It might fit but I haven't found a good price on a YZ so I can try it. I do have a YSR sleeping that I would love to put a 125 or even the 80/85 into and put it back on the road.
Man that thing was fun! Took my test on it and the tester almost wouldn't let me because he thought it was a moped, had to point out on the registration where it said motorcycle. Figure 8 and circles at 20mph+ in a 10 foot wide area leaned way over. Pure fun! Up in Winterpeg I bet you won't find any of these, but they are out there. I think there was recently one locally to me for under $1000 (stock 50cc). If you need help looking at it and maybe crating for shipping let me know. Team Calamari is the source for parts. There are a few other ones that would be worthy and are listed on the Calamari site. Can't you also get the 125cc Honda up there? I know it is a bigger frame, but I bet it is still fun to ride. |

YSR80's were made for Canada/Japan only as well as the ysr50's. Found alot of them in California (guy gets the junk shipped from Japan and he rebuilds them and sells them) but he wants way too much for them and then too much for shipping. There are alot of them around but the guys who have them know that they can't be found in Canada and are asking too much for them. A couple years ago I was looking into building one, I found a R.5 and R.8 kit for them (just body work to look like the R6 and R8) fun little bikes, a bunch of my friends had them growing up

Damn, guess I may have to import one next spring! ANyone want to ship me just the motor?
You can bore the 50 out to a 60-65 safely, wonder if they just used a stroker crank on the 50 cylinder to make the 80. |

Yes actually it is classified as a motorcycle (notice the helmets). That's my beef with them, all the regulations of a cycle, not all of the fun. Personally I would prefer a sidecar, but hey, to each their own.

I don't think so, don't think it counter steers either. Pretty sure that run a squared off tire on the rear, just like a car.

It's a Spyder, and technically it is a motorcycle. The manufacturer, Bombarier Recretional Products (BRP), calls it a "roadster", all of US and Canada (and possibly other countries) classify it as a motorcycle (a trike). No motorcycle endorsement is required in California to ride one, but it is required in most states. No, it does not lean or countersteer and it's not as easy to ride as people think they are. The ride we took on The Dragon was intense and required skill, agility, strength, and control to make the turns. It's a lot of fun to ride, a different sort of fun as compared to a traditional two-wheeler.
We also rode it 6200 miles cross-country last month and let me tell you, it sure felt like being on a motorcycle in the wind, rain, humidity, and heat. And after losing my Ninja in an accident 6 weeks ago.... it's all I've got.

It's a "motor"ized tri"cycle". Therefore, it's a motorcycle. :P
And while I personally don't want one, they do look very cool IRL and up close. I got to see one a few weeks ago at a poker run I did. |

Here she was learning to ride a few years ago on my old bike. She is wearing my jacket and stuff so it looks massive on her. Yet again, her on my bike. I started to get her addicted to bikes. Next thing you know she had her own!

Wearing your helmets while playing the video game is beyond funny! Glad you got your girl into riding! I'm hoping to get my wife into riding eventually.
