TYGA 300 Full system anyone tried it ???
Hi All, Just after some info on whether anyone has tried the Tyga full system for the 300 on a pregen ?
They appear to have modified the header pipes when compared to the nextgen 250 system, but I can't find a picture of the exhaust on the bike with a side profile to see if its tight enough to fit a pregen ! |

Thanks for the bump.
Anyone got a picture of one on the bike side shot to show the header path ? I'll check with TYGa, as I can't find any on the net. |

Can't say anything about performance, fitment or sound but TYGA is known to make quality stuff and if they can make nice 2 stroke pipes for lots of bikes i trust that they can make a simple exhaust for a little 4t

The header won't fit a PreGen, due to the exhaust ports are further apart than NewGen.

But it has seperate header pipes, so the spacing is immaterial. they changed the shape for the 300 which uses pre-gen size headers ! and as it has a longer stroke then the pipes must be slightly longer, but it fits the 250 & 300, I assume the header port adaptors are the only differences.

I think there are only two ways to find out. Ask them, or buy one and figure it out.

Yeah installing a full on my 300 at the moment, if you need any measurements. I'm chasing a powercommander map at the moment.

I just had a cartoon charactor loose in my head as in "Capppptaaaaain Caaavee Maaaann"
I'd be interested in how close the header pipes come to the front of the engine comapred to the pre-gen headers ! Thanks for any pics or info you can provide. |

Finally found a side on pic, it's the same header routing as the 250, so won't fit a ZZR, due to the fairing bracket being where the headers want to be, unless you take a piece out or make the loop lower, or use a different setup.
See here, http://i1.wp.com/therideadvice.com/w...n.Still020.jpg Will fit the next gen 250 too. Must keep looking for an old Muzzy or just replace the cans on the stock system. YMMV |

Chris why are fixed to the Tyga exhaust?
Maybe you take a look for the Arrow, this is besides the Leovince the best exhaust (LV=1 for the FI-250) for the 2-fiddy. From Arrow you can get the header separate. |

we are using R6 fairings, and a custom tail on thebike.....so fairing bracketry is a non issue.

The reason for the TYGA, was it looks like they changed the pipe shape from the next gen 250, so it might have fitted the pre-gen motor & its the right size header pipr diameter.
The Leo & Arrow are just reworked 250 pipes & the header routing is the same, so still a problem for me, as it will hit the oil cooler I have mounted in the fairing bracket ! |

Hadn't seen this thread before today. If Capt. Caveman hasn't sorted your questions yet, I could feasibly photograph and/or measure the Tyga system on my 300 when myself and that bike are once again in the same geographic area. The only measurement I already took was weight, on a component basis (e.g. each individual header pipe, etc). Those numbers are, of course, also not on my person at the moment.
My personal reason for the Tyga system was straightforward: price. (insert CREAM smiley here).

We used an ebay copy (@$220)of the Tyga on our ZZR successfully ....raced last weekend and it worked good, and is light and looks great.

Sorry, didn't see this question earlier. To my location (east coast, USA) it totaled $409.56 USD. $100+ cheaper than the nearest price I had at the time for other manufacturers' full systems.

Fitted a Tyga full system to my 300, and at the same time my tuner reflashed the ECU with Woolrich racing software and then got into it on the dyno with some fuelling and timing changes. Picked up 10% power gain to 38.4hp from 35. Stock filter and motor, on pump gas.
