Looks like it fits pretty good. How does it feel while sitting on the bike in close to your riding position?

So if you return either one, would you be getting your cash back or will it be counted as your store credit?

after some more research, i think i should have just went with a long sleeve kevlar and body armor. would protect me just as much as leather, and probably cooler in Florida |

tnx. it is sweet, just feels a little on the light side to me. i guess i was expecting it to be a tad heavier and stiffer(good that its not though) like the other 2 i tried on. i guess that .2mm leather does make a significant difference. ill compare it to the scorpion when it comes later, that one is thicker 1.2mm-1.4mm and has sas-tec armor

Leather slides well and holds up to a lot of scrubbing

Not sure what's meant by "long sleeve kevlar and body armor." This was covered in detail in the "alternatives to jackets" thread. You're most likely to hit your elbows, forearms, shoulders and back. If you get armor that covers all of that you're basically wearing a jacket anyway. Been shown over and over that leather is THE choice for abrasion resistance. Kevlar: Leather:

I wouldn't be concerned with a difference of .2mm thickness in leather. I'd be more concerned about the quality of the stitching and how it fits. Armor is a concern too.
I've high sided in my Bilt TrackStar suit with 1.1-1.2 mm leather and it held up just fine. The only real lacking thing from that suit is shin guards. Point is, the thinner leather will do just fine, provided the seams and armor are quality.

the scorpion is in, it is a little heavier, and firmer, as expected. i cant tell any difference in leather quality, or stitching as of yet. scorpion is a little tighter around my biceps and wrists, not really a major problem. i think the astars is a little longer in the back, which is good for me at 6'0. scorpion has a higher neck, more noticeable in the back.
appearance wise, im kinda leaning towards the astars, more laid back, classier looking than scorpion. scorpion is a little more aggressive and looks storm-trooperish lol anyone agree? pics for JohnnyBravo another question. how much better is the sas-tec armor vs the astars bio-armor? pretty sure sas-tec is rated ce2 |

Do either of them have a zipper at the waist to attach to pants? One of the things I love about my Dainese, I can connect it to my Kevlar jeans with the belt attachment so it doesn't ride up.
